Description

Pilgrim’s Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with additions and alterations made around 1700. It is timber framed and has roughcast rendering, with a thatched roof. The original house comprised three rooms, and a 20th-century bay has been added to the right-hand side; the building is one storey high with attics. The left-hand room retains substantial timber framing. The ground floor has three three-light leaded casement windows, and a small single-light window. An eyebrow dormer with a two-light leaded casement window sits in the roof. A 20th-century thatched gabled porch aligns with a red brick double ridge stack. A substantial red brick external stack is present on the left-hand gable end.
