Description
Oak Lodge is a house dating from the 17th century, with early to mid-20th century alterations. It has a timber-framed structure, with the ground floor finished in red brick laid in Flemish bond. The first floor is adorned with banded plain and fishscale tiles, featuring four diamonds made of paler tiles. The right gable end is weatherboarded on both floors. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has two storeys plus a garret, featuring a half-hipped design with gablets. A central multiple brick ridge stack is present. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of three leaded wooden casements—two are three-light and one is a single-light. The entrance features a central ribbed door with a bracketed lean-to hood. At the center of the house, there is a two-storey rear wing that is rendered, with a plain tile roof, a jettied half hip, and lean-tos on each side; the left side is brick, while the right side is weatherboarded. The interior has not been inspected.
