Description

This is a house and former business premises, dating to approximately 1837. It is constructed with a timber frame and is clad in weatherboard, with a slate roof. The building stands on the corner of Stockett Lane and Heath Road and is of double depth. It is a two-storey structure. The elevation facing Stockett Lane features slightly projecting painted brick gable end stacks positioned towards the front of the building. There is a regular three-window facade with two 12-pane sash windows and a central blocked window. To the rear are two 2-light, horizontally-sliding sashes. The central entrance is a panelled door sheltered by a flat, bracketed hood. A single-storey, 19th-century lean-to has been added to the rear of the right gable end, featuring a multipane window. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
