Description
This is a mid-19th century house situated on a corner plot where East Street meets King Street. The exterior is painted roughcast with a slate roof and moulded stacks on the gable ends. It follows a double-depth plan. The front facade is symmetrical with three windows, featuring 6/6-pane sash windows. A four-panel door with a narrow overlight provides access. A similar sash window is located on the first floor of the side return. A single-storey lean-to addition, likely from the later 19th century, is attached to the left. The rear elevation mirrors the front, with some 20th-century windows on the ground floor. The interior was not inspected. Attached to the front-right corner is a short, rendered wall surmounted by a pier with a pyramidal cap. The building occupies a prominent position and contributes to the character of the street.
