Description

The Olde Cider Bar comprises three houses, dating from 1838, built on the site of a farmhouse recorded in deeds from 1745. The building is constructed of painted roughcast over stone rubble, potentially with cob, and has a slate roof with a square ridge stack centrally positioned, along with tall stacks on the forward slopes of the gable ends and a rear wing. The plan is double-depth, with a single-storey rear left wing.

The exterior has two storeys and a four-window front. The first floor has 6/6-pane sash windows, while the ground floor to the right features a similar sash, and the ground floor to the left has a 2/2-pane sash. The entrance to No. 103 is located in a passageway leading to the rear courtyard. Nos. 99 and 101 have paired late 19th-century double doors. Two small dormers with 2-light casement windows are present at the rear, alongside mostly 2-light casement windows. A stone staircase provides access to the first floor rear of No. 99, and the rear wing features 19th and 20th-century windows.

The interior has been altered. The three houses were originally built for £155 in Keyberry Road, the former name for East Street. Deeds relating to the houses and the 1745 farmhouse are displayed in the bar.
