Description

Snoads Hall and No. 1 Snoads Hall is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century or earlier, with an early 19th-century addition at the front. The front range, which is from the early 19th century, features chequered red and grey brick in Flemish bond on the ground floor, while the first floor is tile-hung. The building has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys tall with a garret on a stone plinth, topped with a half-hipped roof. There is a rear stack on the left side. The front has a regular two-window arrangement with 3-light casements that include top lights on both the ground and first floors. The central entrance is a half-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight and a flat corniced floating hood. To the left, there is a short two-storey addition made from the same materials. The rear wing on the right is likely from the 17th century or earlier, featuring brick on the ground floor and tile-hung above, with a lower midrail and eaves compared to the front range. There is a multiple brick ridge stack located towards the junction with the main range. The interior has not been inspected. This building was formerly known as Snoads Farm.
