Description

This building, now a house, was originally a shop dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of stucco with a pantile roof, and features a brick stack to the left gable end. The building follows a double-depth plan. It is two storeys high and has a four-window front, with two windows facing New Road, one near the bend of the corner, and one facing Station Road. A 20th-century six-panel door is set into an early 18th-century doorcase made of Ham Hill stone, featuring a pediment supported by brackets and a moulded architrave; it is flanked by windows on both floors. The upper window in this section is a 6/6-pane sash window with a rounded top. All other windows are 8/8-pane sash windows with horns, with the exception of the first-floor window on the right-hand side. A 20th-century door with overlight is located on Station Road, accompanied by two ground-floor windows to the right. The interior of the building was not inspected.
