Description

No. 3 New Road is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of stucco and features a steep-pitch pantile roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a symmetrical two-window arrangement. A glazed door from around 1970 is located under a flat 18th-century hood and is flanked by 20th-century two-light casements on both floors. Inside, the house has been altered and re-roofed, but both ground-floor rooms retain chamfered beams. The room on the left includes a small beam associated with a former fireplace.
