Description
This is a garden wall dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, located approximately 18 yards west-north-west of Boxted Lodge. The wall is primarily constructed of gault brick and encloses part of a small oval front garden. To the east, it ends in a plain brick gate-pier topped with a rendered pyramidal cap, which serves as the west pier of the north entrance to the garden. There are steps leading down to the south beyond a similar, smaller pier, reaching a height of about 2 feet 6 inches, and this section is topped with spear-head railings. There is also a small iron gate located opposite the house.
