Description

Brookland Stores is a shop and house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It has a timber frame, with the ground floor weatherboarded and the first floor tile hung. The right and left gable ends are also weatherboarded, and the building features a plain tile roof. It is double depth and has two storeys with a hipped roof that has hips returning to both the right and left. There are two rear stacks. The front facade has a regular arrangement of two windows, featuring 6-pane glazing bar sashes. The ground floor includes a shop front with two canted bay windows and a central glazed door, all beneath a continuous plain-tiled pentice. The interior has not been inspected. The building is listed for its group value.
