Description
The garden wall located to the southeast of No. 76, Church Street, is a structure from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is built of red brick in Flemish bond and features a brick-on-edge coping. The wall extends approximately 82 metres southeast from the eastern corner of No. 76, Church Street, and makes an obtuse angle about 23 metres from the house.
On the Horn Lane side, there are five piers in the northwest section and seven piers in the remaining section, with the last pier being square and topped with a moulded stone cap. There is a double-chamfered plinth located southeast of the sixth pier, while the sections before that have a plain design. The height of the wall varies, measuring 2.26 metres at the northwest end, 2.33 metres at the obtuse angle, and 2.74 metres at the southeast end. A wicket gate is positioned one metre from the southeast end of the wall.
