Description
The walls bounding Church Street between Nos. 80 and 82 Church Street are from the 18th or early 19th century. They are constructed of handmade red bricks arranged in Flemish bond. The walls extend from the northeast corner of No. 80 for approximately 11 metres to the southwest end of No. 82, with a gap for the double gates of No. 80. The walls feature square gate piers topped with corbelled and dogtoothed caps, and they have red brick pedimental coping. The height of the walls at the northeast end is 3.30 metres, tapering down to 2.60 metres. There are chamfered reductions in thickness at 0.30 metre and 1.83 metres above pavement level. At the rear of the northeast end, there is a weatherboarded lean-to with a slate roof, which is against No. 82 but associated with No. 80.
