Description
This garden wall, dating from the late 18th century, likely around 1773, is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond. It runs from the south-west side of No. 80 (The Cedars) on Church Street to the corner of Horn Lane, extending approximately 18 metres without interruption. The wall features moulded coping bricks with a pedimental section. Its height at the north-east end is about 3.50 metres, tapering down after 6.50 metres in an ogee curve to around 2.75 metres. There is a blocked doorway with a flat arch made of gauged bricks at this lower point. At the south-west end, the wall curves with a radiused header bond into the wall on the north-east side of Horn Lane.
