Description

49 Strand Street is a plain early 19th century house made of brick and painted blue. It features a doorway with pilasters, a projecting cornice, a rectangular fanlight, and a six-panel door. The house has two storeys and a tiled roof. There is one window on the first floor, which retains its glazing bars, while the similar window on the ground floor is missing its glazing bars. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 47 to 57 (odd) and the boundary wall to No 57, as well as Nos 29 to 35 (odd) and the boundary wall on Harnet Street, and No 38 Bowling Street.
