Description

This 18th-century milestone is located 12 yards south of The Old Gatehouse on the west side of Canterbury Road in Boughton Aluph. It is made of stone and features a cast iron panel. The inscription on the milestone indicates that Canterbury is 11 miles away and Ashford is 3 miles away. It is situated just 5 yards from an 18th-century toll house and booth.
