9/343 Milestone at 2406 5732

Milestone. Mid C18. Painted stone. About 2 feet high on plinth. Set diagonally to road, with distances given to Canterbury and London, Sandwich and Deal. The present painted incised inscription C19 or C20, but the 2 reverse planes have somewhat faded original inscriptions, ie. the stone has been turned round and re-cut.
