Description

The Cottage and Mill House are a pair of houses, originally a single house, dating to the 16th century with extensions from the 18th century. The building is timber-framed and clad in weatherboarding, with a plain tiled roof. It is one storey high with an attic, featuring a half-hipped roof, two hipped dormers, and brick stacks located at the end on the left, the centre left, the centre right, and the rear end on the right. There are three sash windows to the left and one wooden casement window to the right. A rib and stud door is set within a gabled porch on the left, and a glazed door with sidelights and a flat hood is on the right. The left-hand section retains 16th-century timber framing internally and represents the original Mill House.
