Description
The Mill and Mill House are a water mill and attached mill house dating from the late 15th century to early 16th century, with significant remodeling and restoration in the 20th century. The house features five bays, constructed with timber framing and plaster, complemented by a colour-washed brick face at the ground floor level and exposed timbers. The Mill is also timber framed, covered with white painted weatherboarding, and both buildings have plain tiled roofs. The Mill House has a varied arrangement of windows, including 20th-century casements with glazing bars and half-glazed entrance doors. There are two red brick stacks with moulded caps. The Mill has a jettied south-west gable end and a lucam on the north-east gable end. The machinery inside the Mill is complete, including an under-shot wooden water wheel.
