6/71 Warmwell Mill and Mill House II

Attached mill and mill house. Late C18, with mid C19 enlargement to double its original size when the miller's house was built. Rubble- stone and dressed stone, and brick walls with brick dressings. Slate roofs with the house lower to north, hipped and gabled. Brick stacks at inner right gable and at far right gable. Two storeys, (Mill). Two storeys, though lower (house). Mill east elevation ground level has following openings: two leaf plank doors with cambered brick arch over. 3 windows. C20 metal casements, and 2 smaller window with metal and iron casements, all with cambered arches plank door. Stone floor has two plank doorways. Weatherboarded and hipped slate roof to bin floor, at right hand top. Interior: the remains of the hurst frame and a small oat-crushing machine. Two wooden belt wheels. Attached miller's house. 2 storeys. 5 windows, 2 light cast iron casements with glazing-bars, stone cills and heavy stone lintels over. Doorway at centre, also with a heavy stone lintel, 4 panel door, C19. North end has a single storey outbuilding, with 3 light cast iron casement with glazing-bars. Small 3 light dormer window over. Plank door with door frame.
