Description
Temple Mill is a mill and mill house, now converted into a dwelling, dating from the later 18th century. It is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof and some stone dressings. The building is two storeys high, with the mill occupying the two right-hand bays and the rest serving as domestic space. The front features a central door and a six-pane window to its left, along with two smaller windows to the right. Above, there is a fifteen-pane sash window and a pair of two-light casements. The elevation shows evidence of many former window or door openings, including in the gable of the mill, which has a stone oculus at the apex and a moulded stone eaves cornice at the rear. The cornice on the front elevation may have been similar but is now covered with render. To the left, a lower outbuilding is now part of the dwelling, and there are few remains of machinery inside.
