Description

A pair of estate cottages dating to the later 19th century. They are constructed of broadmayne brick walls with a chamfered stone plinth and alternating stone quoins. The roofs are clay tile with gable ends, and feature a cluster of four brick stacks, octagonal at the ridge centre. The cottages are two storeys high and have four windows in total. The ground floor has a door and three windows, each three lights wide. The first floor has four windows, each with two lights. The windows have cast iron casements with three-centred heads and a lozenge pattern of glazing bars in wooden frames, with dressed stone jambs and cills. Separate returned labels are positioned above the ground floor windows, while the first-floor windows have dressed stone jambs, cills, and a goblet detail above each. The front doors have dressed stone jambs with segmental heads, and returned labels above, with plank doors. A continuous outshut extends along the rear.
