Description
West Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an attached outbuilding, dating from the late 17th century, with 19th-century alterations at the front, including changes to the windows. The building features a rubblestone plinth and coursed rubble stone walls, with brick dressings around the windows. It has a clay tile roof with reconstituted stone slate eaves and 19th-century brick stacks at the gable ends. The farmhouse is two storeys tall with attics and has four irregularly spaced 19th-century sash windows, each with four large panes. The front door is located to the left of centre, featuring brick jambs and a head, and is a flush panel door with weatherboarding from the 19th century. At the rear, there is a return wing with a brick stack on the rear gable, and the elevations extend to full height. There is also an outshut at the rear of the main range. The house was undergoing renovation in 1985.
