Description
Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made around 1875. The building is constructed from coursed and squared rubble and brick, topped with slate roofs, and is partly rendered. It features a rubble plinth and has three gable stacks and a single external near wall stack. The farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of four bays in an L-plan layout.
The southwest front includes an off-centre French window flanked by lights, a casement window to the left, and a door to the right. Further to the right is a projecting gable wing with a bow window. At the rear, there is an off-centre 19th-century two-storey wing with a casement window, another casement to its left, and a lean-to porch with a door to its right. Beyond that, there is a Yorkshire sash window and a lean-to 20th-century porch with a door. Above this area, there are three casement windows.
The northeast gable features a two-storey gabled square turret with a hatch and a door located in the return angle. The return angle of the rear wing has two casement windows, with two more casements located above. The interior is noted to be without timber framing.
