Description
Standerwick Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an attached barn, dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with dressed quoins on the right and features a slate roof, along with a projecting stone stack on the right capped with brick and a brick stack on the left. The building has a rectangular plan and is two storeys high with four bays.
On the first floor, there are three moulded three-light stone mullioned windows, while the ground floor has two mid-19th century sash windows with glazing bars in plain stone surrounds. The remaining openings feature 19th-century casements in similar surrounds. The virtually central door opening is framed by a moulded four-centred stone surround with plain spandrels, and it has a reproduction ribbed door. A wooden porch with a pent roof and slate covering shelters the entrance.
To the left, there is a contiguous outbuilding, and a further wing extends at right angles to the façade, both topped with triple-Roman tile roofs. The outbuilding includes a single door opening in the gable, with a plank door above a ventilating slit.
