Description
Berkley Grange is a house that dates back to the 18th century, with later alterations. It is shown on the Ordnance Survey map as Berkley Old Rectory. The building features colourwashed rendering and a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and a four-window front, with a 19th-century angular Doulting stone bay on the ground floor to the right. The house has an eaves cornice and end gables with free stone coping, along with Doulting stone chimney stacks and three dormers with cambered-head casement windows. Most of the windows are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars, except for the sash windows located on the first floor to the right. The entrance has a square-headed door opening with a three-quarter glazed door and a moulded flat stone hood supported by stone brackets. The 19th-century wing to the east (right hand) is not included in the listing.
