Description
Watercombe Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse with a main range dating from the 18th century and a 19th-century section at right angles. The building features rubblestone walls that are rendered, and it has a thatched roof that is hipped at the west end and gabled at the southeast. There are rendered stacks on the ridge at the left side and at the southeast gable end. The farmhouse is 1½ storeys tall and has four windows with very irregular fenestration, including 19th-century sashes and 20th-century horizontally pivoting casements, as well as two and three-light eyebrow dormers. The north and south elevations each have half-hipped square projecting bays that contain doorways with 20th-century doors in their side walls. The 19th-century sashes have been partially replaced with 20th-century plastic windows. At the center, there is a rendered porch with a 20th-century door. Inside, the farmhouse features mid-chamfered ceiling beams.
