Description

Old Saddlers Cottage is an 18th-century house located on the west side of Canterbury Road in Boughton Aluph, near Kemps Corner. The building features a timber frame with channelled render on the front and brick and tile hanging on the side elevations. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys tall with a hipped roof. The roof includes a ridge stack on the left and an end stack on the right. The cottage has a regular arrangement of four windows, which are glazing bar sashes. Notably, the third window on the right side of the first floor is blocked and painted to imitate a sash window. Below this window, there is a door made up of four fielded panels topped with a semi-circular fanlight.
