Description

Spring Cottages is a row of houses dating to the 17th century or earlier, with extensions from the 18th century. The houses are timber-framed and have a red brick ground floor with a tile-hung first floor. They have a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys and an attic, and incorporates a two-storey wing. The roof is hipped with a gablet to the right, a lower, separately hipped extension to the right, and a gabled section to the left with a stack. Additional stacks are located centrally to the right and at the right end. There are three pendant-gabled dormers. The first floor has six wooden casement windows, and the ground floor has five. There are two glazed doors to the left, set within a hipped porch, a glazed door to the centre right within a gabled porch, and a boarded door to the right end.
