Description

Church Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, with a date of 1778. It is constructed of red and blue chequered brick, featuring tile-hung gables and a plain tiled roof. The building consists of two parallel ranges and has two storeys and an attic set on a plinth, with a dentil and dogtooth brick eaves cornice beneath the half-hipped roof. There are two hipped dormers and a central stack. The windows are arranged regularly, with three glazing bar sashes on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all with segmental heads and set in moulded frames. The central door consists of six raised and fielded panels, topped by a flat hood supported on brackets. At the rear, there is a two-storey half-hipped range, featuring a lead downpipe inscribed with "M L Brick" and the date "1 7 7 8," along with the inscription "Will Lee."
