Description
Mount's Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations and additions made in the 18th century and later. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with red plain tiled roofs. The building features five red brick chimney stacks that are visible from the road. It is one storey high with attics and has a long range layout that includes central and right forward gabled crosswings, as well as a prominent gable on the left side. There are red plain tiled lean-to extensions on the left and centre of the building. Gabled dormers are present on the centre and right sides.
The first floor has a window arrangement of 0:1:1:1:1, while the ground floor features a 1:1:1:1:1 arrangement, primarily consisting of vertically sliding sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded surrounds. A vertically boarded door is located on the right returns of the centre and right crosswings, with the right crosswing also featuring a red tiled porch supported by brackets. The rear of the building includes a range of gabled dormers.
