Description
Walnut Tree Cottage is a house, now a row of houses, dating from the early 17th century or earlier. It is timber framed and rendered, topped with a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and a garret, standing on a stone plinth. The roof is half-hipped with a slightly higher ridge to the right of the stack. There is a multiple brick ridge stack on the front slope of the roof, positioned to the right of centre, and a slender projecting stack to the left. The windows are arranged irregularly, featuring three small casements: a four-light window at the left end bay, another four-light window to the left of centre, and a two-light window at the right end. The doors include a boarded door towards the centre of the left bay, a vertically-panelled door accessed by two steps under the stack, and a panelled door with two top lights in the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
