Description

Laurel Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century, with later alterations. It was built at a right angle to the street. The ground floor is rendered (covered in plaster), while the first floor is weatherboarded. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and the roof is hipped. A ridge stack (a chimney) is located towards the centre of the roof. The windows are irregularly placed, comprising two 12-pane glazing-bar sashes on each floor. There are two half-glazed doors, one at each end of the cottage. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included in the list for its group value – that is, its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
