Description

Bay Cottage is a house, likely dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The exterior is rendered, possibly over brick, and has an old plain-tile half-hipped roof. A brick ridge stack is located to the left of the centre, and an end stack is on the left-hand side. The house is single-storey and attic, with a two-window front. A 20th-century panelled door is positioned centrally, sheltered by a flat hood. The cottage features angled bays with hipped plain-tile roofs to the left and right. A gabled dormer, containing a three-light casement window, sits to the right of the centre. A ground-floor open fireplace is noted on the right-hand side. A thatched cross-wing extends from the rear. The building is included on the list for its group value.
