Description
Shirley House is a house built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with occasional grey headers in Flemish bond and has a plain tile roof. The house is double depth and has two storeys, featuring a dentilled brick eaves cornice. The roof is hipped with the hips returning. The windows are arranged irregularly, with two recessed 16-pane sashes and no central window. Both the ground and first-floor windows have rubbed brick voussoirs. The central entrance features a panelled door with two top lights, which is situated under a flat bracketed hood. On the right gable end, there is a canted ground-floor bay window towards the rear, with a sash window above on the first floor, both of which have blind boxes. The interior has not been inspected.
