Description

W.A. Stainer is a house with two ground floor shops, dating from around 1600, with early 19th century refronting and rear extensions. The front wall is finished in stucco, while the rear is made of painted brickwork, and the building has a tile roof. The east front elevation features two storeys with three windows, which are Victorian sashes set in reveals. The ground floor includes two identical Victorian shopfronts, each with a splayed bay, cornice, and a doorway, along with a plain central doorway. The rear extensions have tile-hung gables and a half hipped gable. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, a chimney has been inserted, and there is a dog-leg staircase from the 18th century.
