Description

A house, now a row of cottages, with a 17th-century core, significantly refronted and extended in the early 19th century. The building has a timber-frame structure now largely encased in brick, with an old plain tile roof. Originally a 3-bay 17th-century building, a bay was added to the left during the early 19th-century refronting. The left bay contains two early 19th-century four-panel doors, each with a blue brick segmental head. A similar door is situated between the right bays, and to the right is an early 19th-century segmental-headed three-light cast iron casement, with a similar four-light casement to its left. Above, there are three early 19th-century three-light cast iron casements, all with lozenge panes. The left bay contains 20th-century casements. A large stack is located immediately to the left of the right-hand door, and stacks are present at each end of the original building.
