Description
Two houses, built as a single block in the late 18th century, are located on Pound Hill, New Alresford. The houses have brick walls, with red brick headers, and a low-pitched slate roof, hipped at the corner where it meets The Dean. Small, spaced eaves brackets are present. The exterior of No. 2 has been painted. Both houses have sash windows within reveals, with two angular bays on the ground floor. No. 2 has a canopy above the entrance. The front door is six-panelled. No. 4 features a moulded canopy on carved brackets, with thin moulded panels forming pilasters, panelled reveals, and a plain fanlight above the door. The side elevation of No. 2 has flint walling with brick bands and quoins, now painted, while the rear walling incorporates late framing and brick nogging.
