Description

49 and 51 West Street is a late 18th-century building that features a house above two shops. The structure is finished in stucco and has a tiled roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has three windows. The roof is a half-hipped mansard style, complete with a double plain fascia. The windows are sash type. The shopfronts, which date from the 19th century, include a smaller one for number 49 and a larger one for number 51. Both shopfronts have a moulded cornice and frieze supported by pilasters, and they feature angular bays.
