Description
This building, comprising numbers 56 and 58 West Street in New Alresford, now functions as two shops, and was originally part of a continuous building with number 60. It dates from the 18th century, with later 19th-century alterations. The construction is painted brick, with a concrete tile roof. The building is one storey high with an attic. The shop front, incorporating a recessed central area with two doorways, features end pilasters and a continuous fascia that extends to the eaves. A large, flat-roofed dormer is present on the roof. The moulded eaves cornice continues from number 60. The building is included on the list for its group value.
