Both shops have inserted fronts from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, featuring moulded brackets with cable moulding and foliate swags on either side of the fascias. The windows of number 46 are divided by a mid-rail. The upper windows are four-pane sashes with flat arched heads, and there is a continuous sill band at the upper storey of number 46. These buildings are included for their group value and retain much of their late 19th-century character, including a shop front of notable quality.
