Description

THE Abbey 1. (North Side) 1559 ------------ Gate piers, walls, railings and gates enclosing garden on south side of Nos 11, 13 & 15 SU 3521 4/40A

  1. Starting from either end and working inwards from Nos 11 and 15 in sequence as follows: stuccoed pier, lower stuccoed wall, stuccoed pier, iron railings returning downwards to low ironwork gate flanked on other side by iron railings returning upwards to stuccoed pier; stuccoed wall; stuccoed pier. In centre, across whole front of No 13, cast iron railings on stuccoed base. Piers with plain capping. Railings with spear-headed terminals; square standards with urn finials.
