Description
This is a pair of late 18th-century buildings at Abbey Water, forming a group with numbers 8 to 12 and 18 to 20. The buildings are two storeys high and set on a higher elevation than numbers 18 and 20, though they are recessed behind them and have a higher roofline. They are built of colourwashed brick with an old tile roof. Number 22 has three sash windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all retaining their architrave frames and glazing bars, with painted brick voussoirs to the ground floor windows. The central door has six panels, with four moulded and fielded panels and the top two cut away and glazed, set within panelled reveals and a doorcase featuring Doric pilasters and a hand in a similar doorcase.
