Description

18 and 20 Abbey Water are late 18th century, two-storey buildings made of brick, featuring a brick dentil cornice and an old tile roof. The first floor has four sash windows, while the ground floor has three sash windows, all with flush boxes and intact glazing bars. There is a pair of five-panel doors in the second bay from the left, surrounded by an architrave and topped with a flat moulded hood supported by later trellis work. Number 20 also features a distinctive knocker. These buildings, along with the Congregational Church at numbers 8 to 12 and numbers 18 to 24, are part of a cohesive group.
