Description
No. 3 Market Place is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall, with a slightly lower elevation than the adjacent No. 2. It features a slate roof with a lower ridge line and flat bracketed eaves. The building is constructed of red brick and has one sash window with glazing bars and rubbed brick voussoirs on the second floor. On the first floor, there is one French easement window with a narrow side glazing pattern, also with rubbed brick voussoirs. The original shop front, which is contemporary to the building, includes a glazed door on the east side, topped with a rectangular fanlight that has an interlacing curved glazing pattern. This building is part of a group of listed buildings in Corn Market and Market Place.
