Description

No. 2 Market Place is an early 19th-century building that stands three stories tall. The exterior is made of brick that has been painted over, originally yellow stock brick. It features a toothed brick cornice and an old tiled roof. On the second floor, there are two square sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has two segmental-headed sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor used to have an early to mid-19th-century shop front, but now only the pilasters and cornice remain, flanking a modern plate-glass shop window with a plain fascia above. This building is part of a group of listed buildings in Corn Market and Market Place.
