Description
17 and 19 The Abbey are early 19th-century, two-storey houses that project forward from Nos 11, 13, and 15. They feature flat bracketed eaves and a slate roof. Each house has two sash windows on the first floor, totaling four windows: two wide 4-pane sash windows in the center and two 3-pane wide sash windows at the ends. On the ground floor, the arrangement includes a small 2-light casement window, a door, two 4-pane sash windows, another door, and a final small 2-light casement window. Each door is a 6-panel design with the upper four panels cut away and glazed, set in panelled reveals with contemporary trellis porches and flat moulded end dentilled hoods. Nos 11 to 27 (odd) form a group.
