Description
This building is a farmhouse located immediately north of Spearywell Farmhouse. It has a core that dates back to the 16th century, with a cross wing added in the 17th century, and was remodeled and encased in the 18th century. The structure features a timber-frame core that is encased in brick, topped with an old plain tile roof.
The farmhouse is two stories high and has three bays, with a lower cross wing at the rear on the left and an outshot along the left end. A central 19th-century gabled brick porch with an archway leads to the interior, which contains an 18th-century six-panel half-glazed door. On either side of the porch are 18th-century 12-pane sash windows, with a brick arch above each, cutting into a raised band on the first floor. There is a tie plate to the left of the center. On the first floor, there are three 6-pane sash windows. The roof is hipped to the left, and there is a large external stack on the right, along with a stack on the ridge of the cross wing. Inside the cross wing, there are moulded beams and joists.
