Description
Spearywell Farmhouse is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century, with extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber-frame structure with later brick infill and additions. The original 16th-century cottage consists of two bays, and it has raised eaves to create a two-storey outshot on the left side, with a taller one-and-a-half-storey bay added to the left.
There is a 20th-century brick porch under the outshot roof at the left of the central bay, with a door on the left side. Each bay and the porch have 20th-century two-light casements, while the right bay and the first floor of the left two bays feature 18th-century two-light casements. Additionally, there is a three-light casement in an eyebrow dormer above the left bay. The roof is hipped and extends out to the left, with the ridge rising over the left bay and a half-hipped left end. A ridge piece and a large stack are located on the ridge above the door.
