Description

THE HUNDRED 1 (North Side) 1559 ------------ Garden railings, overthrow and gates to No 98 SU 3521 4/80A

  1. The house is set back from road behind a screen of 2 pairs of square brick piers with stone caps connected by a low brick wall with stone coping, recessed in segmental shape in centre between the groups of piers, currying contemporary cast iron rails supported under bottom rail by iron balls under standards carrying urn finials. The centre of the screen has cast iron gates, with cast iron panel supports of interlacing circle pattern, with a 4 centred curved overthrow carrying Campholder. Some later extensions at back. Large garden with fine trees. Possibly designed by Henry Holland Architect of Broadlands.
