Description
Nos 82 and 84 on The Hundred is a building from the 18th century or earlier, constructed with a timber frame that features square panels visible on the east gable end. It has two storeys and an attic, topped with a modern tiled gabled roof. The front is plastered and colourwashed, with four modern sash windows above that include glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two modern plate-glass shop fronts with sloping fascias above. A small attic window is located in the west wall of the western gable end. At the back, there is a small timber-framed two-storey wing that runs north-south. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 47 to 55 (odd) and 70 to 84 (even) on Palmerston Street, all of which are listed.
